The Cadillac® "G" tailpiece and Synchrosonic "Melita" Bridge wrap up the package very nicely offering no frills perfect playability and a classic look. The guitar is perfect for vintage style country western and rockabilly but is also well suited for many music styles. The tone is clear and strong with tremendous bass response that's very clean and musical and an articulate treble that's bright and snappy without a hint of "brittle" tone. The new recreation of the original DeArmond pickup which Gretsch calls the DynaSonic is an outstanding design that holds its own against a true vintage pickup. The double-cutaway body has an arched top with oversized bound. The G6136DS is closely modeled after the 1955 spec Falcon. This gorgeous top-of-the-line Gretsch bass is modeled on the classic White Falcon guitar. The original 1955 White Falcon is one of the most sought after vintage guitars of all time and definitely one of the coolest.
